Three volumes octavo (20.5 x 13.5 cm) pp. vi, 361; vi, 319; vi, 313, 16 ads. Publisher's variant second binding of brown blind-stamped cloth wth gilt titles to spine and yellow endpapers. Binder's ticket (Edmonds & Remnants) to rear pastedown of vol. I and bookseller's blind-stamp to front free endpaper of vol. III. Without the preliminary advertisement leaf in Vol. I. (a later insertion) and the earliest state of the ads. in Vol. III. Cloth in good order, clean and with only a little bumping to the soft corners and creasing to the head and foot of spines - some rippling to the cloth on the spine of vol. III. Gilt titles remain bright. Hinges of vol. III have some splitting. Pages clean and fresh, without writing or other marks. A very good, unrestored set that shows well.
